Security of your Personal Information

Healthwise Technologies, Inc. is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer systems with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities. When we transmit highly confidential information (such as a credit card number or password) over the Internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

HIPAA Information

With the rapidly changing legislative and regulatory impacts on the healthwise environment, Healthwise Technologies, Inc. and its subsidiaries recognize that corporations are seeking to ensure that our organization is actively assessing and preparing for compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Healthwise Technologies, Inc. is implementing global strategies to prepare for HIPAA. Our goal is to protect the privacy and security of individually identifiable health information and our clients’ ability to use our services.

Healthwise Technologies, Inc. maintains a Regulatory/Legislative Department consisting of staff dedicated to tracking all proposed, pending and active legislative and regulatory developments that are directly proportionate to Healthwise Technologies, Inc.'s and our customers' business needs. A primary focus of this department is to research privacy and security regulations and legislation on both the federal and state level. We are actively involved in the impact assessment of HIPAA on Healthwise Technologies, Inc.'s business units.

Healthwise Technologies, Inc. is dedicated to protecting patient data. We have a strict non-transport policy where as no patient data is release to anyone other than the original group who entered the record. Upon termination of contract the data is removed from the system with in 30 days.

Healthwise Technologies, Inc. is addressing the communication of new laws relative to privacy and security through a corporate driven HIPA Awareness Program. This program consists of education of management and employees through the Healthwise Technologies, Inc. Intranet, internal newsletters and face-to- face educational programs as required to ensure preparation.

Use of your Personal Information

Healthwise Technologies, Inc. collects and uses your personal information to operate LivLite Outcomes Tracking and to deliver the services you have requested. These services may include the display of customized content based upon the information we have collected. In order to provide services in conjunction with other Healthwise Technologies, Inc. products or services, personal information collected on LivLite Outcomes Tracking and Liv-Lite.com may be accessed and used by other Healthwise Technologies, Inc. services as necessary to provide such services. Any use of such information within Healthwise Technologies, Inc. will remain subject to the limitations of this privacy statement.

We also use your personal information to communicate with you. We may send certain mandatory service communications such as welcome letters, billing reminders, information on technical service issues, and security announcements. We may also occasionally send you product surveys or promotional mailings to inform you of other products or services available from Healthwise Technologies, Inc. and its affiliates.

Healthwise Technologies, Inc. does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. We may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your personal information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent.

We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, such as handling the processing and delivery of mailings, providing customer support, processing transactions, or performing statistical analysis of our services. We will only provide those companies the personal information they need to deliver the service. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information and are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

Healthwise Technologies, Inc. may access and/or disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Healthwise Technologies, Inc. or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Healthwise Technologies, Inc., including its LivLite family of Web sites; or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Healthwise Technologies, Inc. services or members of the public.

Personal information collected on this site may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Healthwise Technologies, Inc. or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities, and by using this site, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country. Healthwise Technologies, Inc. abides by the safe harbor framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of data from the European Union.

Changes to this Statement

We will occasionally update this Privacy Statement to reflect changes in our services and customer feedback. When we post changes to this Statement, you will see the word "updated" next to the Privacy Statement link on the front pages of LivLiteOutcomes.com, Liv-Lite.com or healthwisetech.com. If there are material changes to this Statement or in how Healthwise Technologies, Inc. will use your personal information, we will prominently post such changes prior to implementing the change.
